The cervical cells will be placed in a container which contains a special liquid that helps preserve them. The samples will be examined under a microscope to detect whether it is precancerous or cancerous.
If the test comes out negative, it means that the cervical cells were not cancerous in nature and you will not need any treatment.

- Atypical glandular cells: Atypical glandular cells may appear in the opening of your uterus or cervix and may be cancerous.
- Squamous cell cancer ( Adenocarcinoma cells): Presence of squamous cells reveals that there is a high chance of cervical cancer.
